State Representative Mike Armanini is teaming up with the Office of State Treasurer Stacy Garrity to help Pennsylvania residents reclaim their unclaimed property. According to Armanini, "There are people who have been approached about unclaimed property and think it's all a scam. The fact is, one in 10 Pennsylvania residents has such property waiting to be reclaimed, and the Pennsylvania Treasury, which is holding more than $4 billion of it, is actively seeking the owners."
To assist with the process, a representative from the Office of State Treasurer will be available at Armanini's district offices on specific dates. The dates and locations are as follows:
- Tuesday, Jan. 23 - St. Marys District Office, 53 South St. Marys St. (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
- Tuesday, Jan. 30 - DuBois District Office, DuBois Area Plaza, Suite 10, 1221 East DuBois Ave. (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
Armanini emphasized that individuals do not need to make an appointment. They can simply walk in and potentially walk out with their rightful property. The unclaimed property could include tangible assets such as collectible coins, jewelry, military medals, stamps, antiques, savings bonds, or other physical items.
For any questions regarding this initiative or any state government issue, individuals can contact Armanini's St. Marys district office at 1-814-765-0593 or his DuBois office at 1-814-375-4688.
This partnership between State Representative Mike Armanini and the Office of State Treasurer Stacy Garrity aims to raise awareness about the significant amount of unclaimed property held by the Pennsylvania Treasury. By providing convenient opportunities for residents to reclaim their belongings, the initiative aims to connect rightful owners with what is rightfully theirs.
