State Representative Mike Armanini is set to host a ceremony dedicated to renaming a bridge in Clearfield County in honor of former Pennsylvania State Trooper Brad Wilson. The event will take place on October 17 at 1 p.m. at 336 Aspen Way, DuBois, where a tent will be set up in the parking lot of Xtreme Wear.

The bridge on U.S. Route 219, which crosses Pentz Run between Sandy Township and the City of DuBois, will be renamed to honor Wilson, who was critically wounded on September 26, 2013. Wilson was attempting to serve a warrant at a private residence in Jefferson County when the incident occurred.

State Representative Mike Armanini, along with state Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. and both past and present members of the Pennsylvania State Police, will be present at the ceremony. Representatives from Clearfield County, the City of DuBois, and Sandy Township are also expected to attend.
