Kephart and Langerholc announce over $1.8 million in local infrastructure grants

State Rep. Dallas Kephart and Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority has awarded more than $1.8 million in infrastructure grants to projects within the 73rd Legislative District. The funding comes from the Small Water and Sewer (SWS) and Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) grant programs.

“I am proud to have worked with local officials and Sen. Langerholc to deliver this critical funding to our district,” Kephart said. “These grants are a significant investment in developing the infrastructure of our community for public health and safety on our roads.”

Sen. Langerholc added, “These grants will improve our water and sewer systems and deliver meaningful roadway improvements, from repaving projects to reconstruction of existing bridges. I am happy to help fund these projects with Rep. Kephart that enhance public safety and lay the groundwork for long-term growth.”

Projects receiving funding include:
– Bradford Township: MTF grant of over $328,000 for replacing a culvert and widening Orchard Road.
– Clearfield Borough: MTF grant of over $80,000 for paving Healy Avenue as well as Water and Locust streets.
– Cooper Township Municipal Authority: SWS grant of over $341,000 for installing fire hydrants.
– Gulich Township: MTF grant of $50,000 for repaving Walnut Street.
– Hastings Municipal Authority: SWS grant of over $241,000 to replace an ozone generation system.
– Lawrence Township: MTF grant of $230,000 for paving Turnpike Avenue.
– Muddy Run Regional Authority: SWS grant of $332,000 for rehabilitation at the Madera Treatment Plant.
– Osceola Mills Borough: MTF grant of $100,000 for roadway improvements on Curtin Street.
– Ramey Borough: MTF grant of over $149,000 to repair Railroad, Durbin, and Market streets.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority is responsible for overseeing state investments in Pennsylvania’s economic development projects through various funding programs.
