State Representative Dallas Kephart announced a funding opportunity available to local government and nonprofit organizations. Applications for the Multimodal Program can be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until November 5th.

Kephart stated, “These awards will be distributed competitively for eligible projects that need funding and are in the public interest, which include public transportation, passenger rail, rail freight, ports and waterways, aviation and airports, and active transportation.”

Counties, boroughs, and townships are eligible to apply for projects with costs ranging from $100,000 to $3 million. Grants are facilitated by the Commonwealth Financing Authority to promote economic development and maintain a safe and reliable transportation system in the Commonwealth.

For more information or to submit a grant application, visit penndot.pa.gov and search for “Multimodal Program.” Questions can be directed to Kephart’s district offices in Clearfield, Hastings, or Osceola Mills. Matthew Davis is the media contact at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for further inquiries.
