State Representative Dallas Kephart has announced a funding opportunity for local governments and nonprofit organizations. Applications for the Multimodal Program can be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation until November 5.

“These awards will be distributed competitively for eligible projects that need funding and are in the public interest, which include public transportation, passenger rail, rail freight, ports and waterways, aviation and airports, and active transportation,” said Kephart.

Eligible applicants include individual counties, boroughs, and townships. Projects must have a total cost of at least $100,000 but not exceed $3 million. The grants are managed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority to promote economic development and ensure a safe transportation system for residents.

For more information or to submit a grant application, interested parties should visit penndot.pa.gov and search “Multimodal Program.” Questions can be directed to Kephart’s Clearfield district office at 814-765-0609, his Hastings office at 814-247-6210, or his Osceola Mills office at 814-339-6544.
