State Representative Dallas Kephart has been appointed to the House Environmental and Natural Resources Protection Committee by Republican leadership. In addition to this new role, Kephart is a member of five other committees: Energy; Finance; Gaming Oversight; Government Oversight; and Housing and Community Development.

“I am happy to join the Environmental and Natural Resources Protection Committee,” Kephart stated. “This appointment places me in a unique position as the only Republican member of the House to serve on both the Environmental and Energy committees. My legislative district has a long history of energy production and an abundance of natural resources. I look forward to serving my community in these critical policy areas.”

Kephart’s background includes significant experience relevant to his new committee role. He has academic credentials in Energy and Environmental Law from his legal studies, along with professional experience in coal mining within the energy sector.
