State Representative Dallas Kephart, representing Cambria and Clearfield counties, has reiterated his dedication to preserving the Quehanna Boot Camp. Kephart recently took steps to address this issue by bringing it to a vote in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

“This week in Harrisburg, I spoke on two amendments,” Kephart stated. “The amendments would have kept Quehanna and SCI-Rockview open for at least 10 more years. Unfortunately, these amendments were blocked. Quehanna is an effective criminal justice center, and I remain committed to doing what I can to save it.”

The Pennsylvania House narrowly voted 102-101 against Amendments A00628 and A00695, both introduced by Kephart. These amendments aimed to secure the future of Quehanna Boot Camp and SCI-Rockview.
