Rep. Kephart Announces Grants to Support Local Infrastructure

State Representative Dallas Kephart from Clearfield/Cambria announced the allocation of grants to support local infrastructure in various municipalities. A total of nearly $880,000 will be distributed among five Clearfield County municipalities, with an additional grant of almost $310,000 awarded to Philipsburg Borough in Centre County.

In a statement, Representative Kephart emphasized the importance of investing taxpayer dollars back into the communities, stating, “Our constituents expect their hard earned tax dollars to be put to work as investments in their communities.” He also commended the local officials for their proactive approach in applying for the grants, saying, “The local officials who initiated this process through grant applications deserve credit for taking initiative to meet local needs.”

The grants, distributed through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund, will be used for various infrastructure improvement projects in the awarded municipalities. Some of the key allocations include funds for roadway reconstruction, repaving streets, and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure.

The municipalities receiving grants are as follows:
– Philipsburg Borough
– Gulich Township
– Morris Township
– Westover Borough
– Boggs Township
– Cooper Township
