Lock Haven University issued the following announcement on Aug. 18.
Lock Haven University recently held three art showcase workshops at the art annex building on campus. Abbie Dermota, shown here, and her brother, Cole, participated in the first workshop: Freestanding Figurative and/or Relief Geometric Wood and Paper Sculpture. Abbie created an architectonic geometric relief sculpture and Cole created a geometrically-inspired sculpture of a crab. Both participants based their concepts on sketches of their own design. The participants’ parents are Christine and Dr. Troy Dermota, LHU chemistry professor.
