LHU Fly Fishing Demo

Fly fishing 800w

Lock Haven University issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.

On Sunday, October 24, the Lock Haven University Recreation Management Department sponsored a Fly Fishing demonstration on the Poorman Commons. Dr. Brian J. Wilt, expert angler and LHU recreation management professor, led a demonstration of basic fly-casting skills. Shown are participants during the event who went over casting fundamentals, discussed entomology (mayflies, caddisflies, stoneflies and others) as they relate to central PA trout streams and were shown examples of flies that replicate the aforementioned insects. Also discussed were dry fly, nymphing and streamer tactics, as well as sharing fishing stories with each other.
