Lock Haven to Host 20th Annual Student Pottery Sale

The 20th anniversary of the Lock Haven student pottery sale will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the LHU Art Annex, 515 Railroad St.

Two artisans and Lock Haven alumni, Erin Musselman ’14 and Todd Tabb ’04, also will have their work on display during the event.

Musselman is a ceramic artist in Harrisburg. She has been working in clay since 2009 and creates functional wares inspired by nature, as well as the people around her. She worked as a part-time potter for seven years, while teaching third grade. In 2021, she began pursuing pottery and motherhood full-time. Her work is for sale at The Millworks in Harrisburg. She can be found on social media @lupineceramics.

Tabb has been working in ceramics for more than 16 years. His professional work began in 2006 when he started his own home studio under the name Wildfire Pottery. He has exhibited his work at national exhibitions and in late 2018, he partnered with another potter to open Hometown Potters’ Studio in Lewistown. In 2019, he became a teaching artist with the Arts in Education Program through the PA Council of the Arts and Perry County Council of the Arts. His work can be found at national and statewide art festivals in central PA.

Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the Clinton County non-profit organization H.E.L.P. for Pets. H.E.L.P. provides interest-free Hardship Emergency Loans to pet owners for urgent treatment of their pets and supports the Clinton County Chessie Spay & Neuter Program.
