Bridge to be named after fallen Cambria County officer

State Senator Wayne Langerholc | Pennsylvania

Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. will participate in a ceremony on Friday, October 11, to honor a fallen police officer from Cambria County by naming a local bridge after him. The bridge, which carries U.S. Route 22 over a tributary of Hinckston Run in Jackson Township, Cambria County, will be named the Officer Matthew Krupa Memorial Bridge.

Officer Matthew Krupa, originally from Nanty Glo, lost his life in a car accident while on duty on February 4, 2021. The ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Nanty Glo Fire Department located at 870 Chestnut Street in Nanty Glo.
