Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. announced the allocation of $4 million in state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants to projects in Cambria and Centre counties. The Gallery on Gazebo has been awarded $500,000 for building renovations, which will feature a storytelling lab, educational kitchen, gallery, offices, and various performance and gathering spaces.

The Central Intermediate Unit 10 is set to receive $3.5 million for refurbishing the former Philipsburg-Osceola Junior High School. This project includes gymnasium renovations and site enhancements such as new walkways, curbing, and green space.

“Investing in our local communities is essential for fostering growth and opportunity,” stated Langerholc. “These grants not only enhance our cultural and educational resources but also demonstrate our commitment to strengthening the region.”

The RACP is managed by the Office of the Budget for regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects. These projects are state-funded but cannot secure primary funding through other state programs.
