State Rep. Dallas Kephart (R-Cambria/Clearfield) has announced that Pennsylvania's 73rd Legislative District will receive funding for three transportation projects. The grants, totaling over $600,000, come from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s (DCED) Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF).
The MTF supports projects aimed at the development, rehabilitation, and enhancement of transportation infrastructure, including streetscapes, lighting, sidewalks, and pedestrian safety.
According to the announcement, the grants have been allocated as follows: Decatur Township will receive $100,000 to repave Hollow Road, Graham Township is set to receive $250,000 to reconstruct Sington Road, and Oceola Mills Borough will obtain $264,000 for reconstruction and repaving projects on Lingle Street and the Stone Street Extension.
Kephart expressed his satisfaction, stating, "After working with the townships and borough, I am proud to share these grants with our community. These projects have been projects in the making, and they will improve transportation in our area. I was happy to advocate for them to receive this funding and deliver."
