Dubois Area Catholic School issued the following announcement.
Each year, Mrs. Kristy Morgan’s preschool class pays a visit to Miss Rebecca, (Mrs. Rebecca Aharrah, the Children’s Librarian) at the DuBois Public Library to hear stories and sing songs. This year, Miss Rebecca employed technology to keep in touch with the Library’s littlest patrons. Mrs. Morgan’s students visited the Library through Zoom, a video conferencing application used by many businesses, schools and families.
The children sent over their homemade ornaments to add to the Children’s Department Christmas Trees.
“While the Library is open, we are offering Curbside Pickup to patrons of all ages” said Mrs. Rebecca McTavish, Director of the Library. She went on to say, “Patrons may visit their website, www.DuBoisPublicLibrary.org, or call (814) 371-5930 to learn more about Curbside Pickup, our virtual programs and when you can stop in and see us for a short visit.” The Library does require masks, but everyone is happy to help patrons find their favorite books or discover new ones.
