Two municipalities in the 75th District will receive funding to enhance traffic safety and flow, according to state Rep. Mike Armanini (R-Clearfield/Elk).

“Pennsylvania’s ‘Green Light-Go’ program was created in 2013 to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals throughout Pennsylvania,” Armanini said. “I applaud leadership in the City of DuBois and Sandy Township for actively pursuing funding to address their individual needs.”

The city will receive a grant exceeding $310,000 for the modernization of traffic signal equipment at Beaver Drive and Liberty Boulevard. Sandy Township's grant, amounting to over $485,000, will be used for traffic signal improvements at Brady Street and Dixon Avenue.

Municipalities applying to the program are required to provide a minimum 20% match. “Green Light-Go” is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Maintenance and Operations.

Questions about this or any state government issue should be directed to Armanini’s St Marys district office at 814-781-6301 or his DuBois office at 814-375-4688.
