State Representative Mike Armanini will lead a ceremony to rename the U.S. Route 219 bridge in honor of former Pennsylvania State Trooper Brad Wilson. The bridge, which crosses Pentz Run between Sandy Township and the City of DuBois in Clearfield County, is being renamed to recognize Wilson's service and sacrifice. On September 26, 2013, Trooper Wilson was critically wounded while attempting to serve a warrant at a private residence in Jefferson County.

The event will feature several notable attendees including Armanini himself, state Senator Wayne Langerholc Jr., past and present members of the Pennsylvania State Police, and representatives from Clearfield County, the City of DuBois, and Sandy Township.

The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, October 17th at 1 p.m. It will be held at 336 Aspen Way in DuBois with a tent set up in the parking lot of Xtreme Wear.
