State Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. and State Representative Mike Armanini have announced the allocation of over $3.5 million in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants to four recipients in Clearfield County.
"We’re pleased to see these grant requests approved and state dollars being invested in rural Pennsylvania," said Armanini. "RACP grants are competitive grants, and we applaud the four recipients on receiving funding that will allow them to expand on the services they currently provide."
The RACP is a Commonwealth grant program managed by the Office of the Budget, aimed at supporting regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
The grant recipients include Christ the King Health and Wellness Center in DuBois, which received $1 million to enhance its independent living cottages and apartments. The DuBois Central Catholic Multi-Purpose Center was awarded $1 million for developing a complex suitable for classrooms and after-school activities. Additionally, $737,500 was allocated for an Industrial Drive Sanitary Sewer Line Extension intended for a planned industrial park along Industrial Drive in Sandy Township. The Salvation Army Dubois received $600,000 for kitchen renovation and expansion.
"Today’s announcement reflects our commitment to investing in Clearfield County," stated Langerholc. "These grants will empower local organizations to enhance their services, ensuring that residents have access to the resources they need to thrive."
