Local fire and EMS services receive over $230K in state grants

State Rep. Michael Armanini | Pennsylvania 75th Legislative District

State Representative Mike Armanini announced that over $230,000 in grants have been allocated to 20 fire and EMS companies within the 75th Legislative District. The funding comes from the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grants program.

“This funding is distributed across the Commonwealth to benefit the heroes of our communities,” Armanini stated. “I am happy to see it benefit so many local companies and look forward to seeing the improvements made across the 75th.”

The grants are intended for projects such as building or renovating facilities, purchasing or repairing equipment, training, or reducing existing debt. They are managed by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner. All eligible applicants who meet the set requirements receive funding.

Among the recipients are Adrian Sandy Fire Co., AmServ, Bennetts Valley Ambulance, Brady Township Ambulance, Brady Township Fire Rescue, Crystal Fire Department, Elkland Search and Rescue, Fourth Ward Hose DuBois, Fox Township Ambulance, Fox Township Fire Department, Friendship Hose Co. No. 2 DuBois, Goodwill Hose No. 5 DuBois, Grampion Penn Bloom Fire, Horton Township Fire Department, Jay Township Fire Department, Johnsonburg Fire Department, Ridgway Ambulance, Ridgway Fire Department, Wilcox Fire Department and Wilcox Fire EMS.
