An Elk County infrastructure project in Pennsylvania received financial support from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. This support follows state Representative Mike Armanini's advocacy for the Horton Township Whetstone Waterline Project.

“These projects are critical investments which need to be made in our local communities,” said Armanini. He expressed gratitude towards Horton Township officials for highlighting the issue, and acknowledged Gov. Josh Shapiro and his administration for addressing concerns related to the residents of Brockport.

The project is set to receive over $2 million in the form of a Community Development Block Grant. This will be utilized by the Brockway Borough Municipal Authority to construct a new water main loop on Keystone Road and a segment of Coder Road.

“This is a simple matter of updating outdated infrastructure, which will not only improve water quality but allow three new fire hydrants to be installed,” Armanini added.

For inquiries related to this project or other state government matters, constituents are encouraged to contact Armanini's district offices in St. Marys or DuBois.
