State Representative Mike Armanini has announced that the 75th Legislative District will receive a total of $900,000 from the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to support affordable housing initiatives. The funding is provided through the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, which aims to increase and maintain the housing supply for low-income families.

"This funding marks an investment in our community to increase and preserve the supply of housing available to our low-income families," stated Armanini. "I am happy to share and support this funding for our district to rehabilitate existing affordable housing."

The counties of Clearfield and Elk have been awarded funds for specific housing projects. Clearfield County has been allocated $500,000 to rehabilitate four existing owner-occupied homes in DuBois and Sandy Township. Elk County will receive $400,000 for the rehabilitation of eight existing owner-occupied homes.

The HOME program receives its funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and is managed by the DCED.

For inquiries about this or other state government issues, residents can contact Armanini’s St Marys district office at 814-781-6301 or his DuBois office at 814-375-4688.
