State Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. and State Representative Mike Armanini have announced more than $3.5 million in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants for four recipients in Clearfield County.
Representative Armanini expressed satisfaction with the developments, stating, “We’re pleased to see these grant requests approved and state dollars being invested in rural Pennsylvania. RACP grants are competitive grants, and we applaud the four recipients on receiving funding that will allow them to expand on the services they currently provide.”
The RACP is a grant program under the Commonwealth, managed by the Office of the Budget, which funds the design, acquisition, and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical improvement projects.
The grants have been awarded as follows:
- Christ the King Health and Wellness Center in DuBois will receive $1 million to add to the existing independent living cottages and apartments.
- DuBois Central Catholic Multi-Purpose Center will receive $1 million for building a multi-purpose complex suitable for classrooms and after-school activities.
- Industrial Drive Sanitary Sewer Line Extension will receive $737,500 to extend services to a planned industrial park along the newly constructed Industrial Drive in Sandy Township.
- Salvation Army Dubois is set to receive $600,000 for kitchen renovation and expansion.
Senator Langerholc highlighted the significance of these grants by saying, “Today’s announcement reflects our commitment to investing in Clearfield County. These grants will empower local organizations to enhance their services, ensuring that residents have access to the resources they need to thrive.”
