State Representative Dallas Kephart announced that two multimodal grants have been awarded within the 73rd House Legislative District. These funds are part of the Multimodal Transportation Fund, a program designed to support municipalities, councils of governments, businesses and several types of organizations by upgrading transportation infrastructure.

West Carroll Township in Cambria County will receive $348,275 to replace the Reed Street Bridge. Beccaria Township in Clearfield County is set to receive $239,158 for roadway improvements on Hoop Up Road and Poplar Street. The project involves widening roads, repairing the base and drainage, milling, and other related work.

Rep. Kephart emphasized, "Collaboration between state and local governments to improve transportation in the Commonwealth is critical. I am happy to share that both Cambria and Clearfield counties will benefit from PennDOT’s multimodal grants to make our roads in the 73rd safer."

The application period for the next round of multimodal grants will commence on Monday, September 23, at 8 a.m., with submissions closing on Tuesday, November 5, at 4 p.m. The announcement of new recipients is expected next year, with funding available in July 2025.
