State Rep. Dallas Kephart | Pennsylvania 73rd Legislative District
State Representative Dallas Kephart announced the distribution of over $500,000 in grants to support fire and emergency medical services within the 73rd Legislative District. These grants, aimed at aiding local first responders, are expected to facilitate the improvement and maintenance of services crucial for community safety.
Kephart highlighted the integral role first responders play in the community, stating, “These grants support our local first responders, without whom our communities would look vastly different. This funding will help our local companies continue their great work and upgrade service in and around the 73rd District.”
Administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner, the funding covers a variety of projects. These include the construction or renovation of facilities, equipment purchase or repair, training initiatives, and debt reduction. All applicants that meet the outlined requirements receive funding.
A number of local entities have benefited from this initiative. Among those receiving grants are BJW Volunteer Fire Co., Carrolltown Fire Co., Clearfield EMS Inc., and Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department. The amounts awarded vary, supporting a wide assortment of emergency and fire service needs within the district.
