Senator Wayne Langerholc Jr. will participate in a ceremony to honor a fallen Marine from Cambria County by naming a local bridge after him. The event is scheduled for Monday, October 28, at 1 p.m., and will take place at the Pickerel Pond Pavilion in Prince Gallitzin State Park, Flinton.

The bridge that carries State Route 1021 over Glendale Lake in White Township, Cambria County, will be named the CPL Reid Rex Ross 3 BN 26 Marine Reg. Memorial Bridge. CPL Ross, originally from Flinton, Pennsylvania, was killed on December 4, 1968, south of Da Nang, Vietnam. He died while returning fire to protect his fellow Marines during Operation Meade River.
